What is a rate plan?

A rate plan is a named pricing setup that prices exactly one thing: an inventory pool or a single unit. It carries a base amount in your workspace currency, an interval (day, hour, week, month, or slot), a minimum stay, and an Active switch. Find them under Units → Rate Plans. The section appears once the reservations add-on is active and you have permission to view bookings.

How do I create one?

Open Rate Plans

Go to Units → Rate Plans and click New rate plan.

Choose what it prices

Pick Inventory pool or Unit, then select the target. The name is filled in for you from that choice and can be edited.

Set the money

Enter the base amount, choose the interval, and set the minimum stay.

Create

Click Create. Open the plan afterwards to add seasons or publish it.
What a plan prices is fixed once it exists. To move pricing from a unit to a pool, or the other way round, archive the plan and create a new one against the right target.

Which price applies to a unit?

Two levels, and the more specific one wins: There is no price on a unit type. Types carry structure and defaults such as capacity, not money. Switching a unit plan to inactive hands that unit back to its pool price — it falls through rather than pricing at nothing. A unit with no active plan at either level is reported as unpriced: it has no rate to quote and cannot be booked, which is deliberate, so a room never sells at zero by accident.

Seasons and weekday rules

A plan owns any number of seasons — the price calendar on the plan’s Seasons tab. A season scopes an adjustment to a date range, to particular weekdays, or to both, and applies either a percentage of the base price or a fixed price. Percentages always work off the base, so adjustments never stack on top of each other. Exactly one season governs any given date. When they overlap, the shorter one wins — Halloween inside autumn simply works — a rule with no dates loses to one that has them, and you can raise a season’s priority to override that. When nothing matches, the base price applies. A stay that crosses a season boundary is priced night by night and summed, so a Christmas arrival and a January departure each pay their own rate.
Build seasons in layers. Start with broad blocks — high season, shoulder, low season — then add short, high-priority overrides for Christmas, New Year, and local events. Add a weekday rule such as “+10% Friday and Saturday” last: it applies wherever no dated season covers the night, and the price calendar shows you the whole year before a guest ever sees it.

Publishing to channels

A plan is Draft until you publish it. Draft means nothing is sent to your connected booking channels. Once published, price and season changes sync automatically. A plan must be active before it can be published, and the last published plan for a distributed room cannot be withdrawn or archived while that listing depends on it.

  • One price for a group of rooms — price the pool, leave the units alone.
  • A premium room in a shared group — pool plan for the group, a unit plan on the one room that costs more.
  • Weekend uplift — a weekday season at a percentage of the base.
  • Event pricing — a short, high-priority season with a fixed price.
