What are the two settings areas?

Kitospace keeps settings in two places, and knowing which is which saves a lot of hunting:
  • Organization settings live in the Customer Console — the account-wide area covering every property you run. Billing, people and workspaces are decided here.
  • Workspace settings live under Settings in the workspace sidebar, and describe one property: how it operates, where it is, what it looks like.
Your own personal settings are separate again, on your Profile page.

What is in the Customer Console?

Open the Customer Console from the workspace switcher. Its navigation holds:
  • Dashboard — the account-level overview
  • Workspaces — create, open and manage the properties on the account
  • Members — the people who have access to the account
  • Roles — account-level roles and what they may do
  • Billing — plan, capabilities and invoices
  • Settings — identity and branding (name, logo, brand colour), the primary contact and ownership, address, default operating preferences, and support access
The organization’s timezone, currency and default language are set here too, and act as the fallback for every workspace that does not set its own.

What is in workspace Settings?

Settings in the workspace sidebar is a short list of signposts:
  • Widgets — configure the dashboard widgets, their layout and visibility
  • Workspace — check-in and check-out policy, branding, domains and location for this property
  • Cleaning — checklist templates and turnover cleaning rules
  • Roles & Permissions — define roles, assign permissions and manage team access
The Workspace page is tabbed. Info holds the name, branding, primary contact and members. Operations holds the check-in/check-out policy, availability exceptions, and the addresses guests reach you on. Settings holds location, timezone, currency, default language, channel distribution and archiving. A Tax tab appears if your plan includes tourist tax.
Timezone, currency and default language are inherited. A workspace that leaves one blank uses the organization’s value and shows an “Inherited from” badge. Setting it on the workspace overrides the organization for that property only.

Where do I find my own settings?

Your Profile page is your account, not the property’s. It has three tabs:
  • Account — profile photo, name, your email address (changing it sends a verification link), and a password reset request
  • Security — your active sessions and where you last signed in
  • Preferences — which notifications you receive, and light, dark or system appearance

Where do I find what?

Rule of thumb: if it costs money or spans several properties, it is an organization setting. If it describes how one property runs day to day, it is a workspace setting.
Archiving a workspace removes access for everyone assigned to it and takes its units out of daily use. It is reversible, and asks you to type the workspace name first — but it is not a way to hide a property temporarily.

Common use cases

  • New property — create the workspace in the Customer Console, then set its times, location and currency in workspace settings.
  • Onboarding staff — add the person in the Customer Console, then give them a role for the property they work in.
  • Going international — set currency and default language per workspace and let the rest inherit.
