What is a unit?

A Unit is a single physical or logical space you manage — a hotel room, an apartment, an office, a parking spot, or a storage locker. “Room” and “space” mean the same thing as unit throughout this help center. Units belong to a workspace (your property) and can be nested parent-to-child: a building holds floors, a floor holds rooms. You will find them under Units in the sidebar.

How are units organized?

Every unit has a typeStandard Room, Studio Apartment — which describes what kind of space it is and supplies defaults such as capacity. Types are managed under Units → Unit Types. Units can also join an inventory pool, a group of units a guest can book interchangeably and that share one price.
A type answers “what kind of space is this?”. A pool answers “which units can substitute for each other and share a rate?”. A unit can have both, and the two are set independently.
