What is a workspace?
A workspace is one property, site, or building you operate. It is the boundary around everything that belongs to that property: its units (rooms, apartments, spaces), its reservations and guests, its cleaning missions, its members, and its own settings. When you are working in Kitospace, you are always inside exactly one workspace. The Units, Calendar, Reservations, and Cleaning pages all show that workspace’s data and nothing else. How do workspaces fit together?
Members belong to the Organization, but access is granted per workspace. Someone can be a manager in one property and have no access at all to another.
How do I create a workspace?
Workspaces are created from the Organization area, not from inside a workspace.1
Open the Organization
Use the workspace switcher or Switch workspace in your account menu and choose Organization.
2
Go to Workspaces
Select Workspaces in the sidebar to see every workspace your Organization owns.
3
Create it
Click Create workspace, give it a name — for example Downtown Hotel — and confirm.
What can I configure per workspace?
Workspace configuration lives in Settings inside the workspace, split across tabs:
Time zone, currency, default language, branding, and the primary contact can be inherited from the Organization. A field left empty shows an Inherited from badge and follows the Organization’s value, so you only override what is genuinely different at this property.
How you sell decides how the property appears on sales channels: One property with multiple rooms — a hotel, guesthouse or B&B listed once with its rooms inside — or Separate independent rentals, where each holiday home or apartment gets its own listing. This is set during workspace creation and cannot be changed later.
Why would I have more than one workspace?
- Several properties — one workspace per hotel, building, or holiday-home cluster keeps availability, calendars, and cleaning separate.
- Different operating rules — properties in different time zones, currencies, or with different check-in times each get their own settings.
- Separate teams — housekeeping and front-desk staff only see the property they actually work at.
- A property you’re onboarding — build it out quietly without it appearing in the live operation.
